Terms of Service (FAQ)
Our chief editor selects a reviewer with academic background and knowledge related to the manuscript's subject. Baro Editing's services are performed by postgraduate professionals with proper training and are necessarily reviewed by doctors.
The customer must inform the language style (US English, UK English) when the order is placed on the website.
The review team will adopt the English UK option as the default style if it is not done through the website. If the customer chooses to change the language style, it must be informed by e-mail. Service delivery times may change.
Accepted file formats are listed at the Services Quick Reference Table, available below.
The format of the receiving file will be the same as the one delivered by the customer.
If the customer chooses to request that the file delivered by Baro Editing be in a different format than the one sent by the customer, an additional 15% may be charged.
For Journal Specific Formatting services, the file delivered by Baro Editing will comply with those established in the "Journal Guideline". The customer will choose one of the formats accepted in the "Journal Guideline".
If the customer wants to send/receive a file in a format different from those shown in the Services Quick Reference Table, the customer must contact us by e-mail.
If the customer is interested in obtaining a certificate, he should contact: contact.baroediting@gmail.com.
The Baro Editing compliance team will issue the certificate.
The customer may contact the company through two channels: website chat and/or e-mail.
Baro Editing team will reply to the request within 24 hours, usually answered during business hours within the first hour.
Our reviewers comply with our information security protocol.
All staff who have access to confidential information must sign a confidentiality agreement.

Delivery time for services may vary depending on the specifics of the tasks. Standard length and delivery time for services are described on the Services Quick Reference Table, available below.
A different deadline may be defined for services with more than 8000 words. In that case, our team will communicate it by e-mail before service is initiated.
The delivery time starts when the payment is confirmed, after the customer provides all the necessary files and information. Within 24 hours, the customer must receive an e-mail from Baro Editing informing about the suitability of these files and complementary information.
The service deadline and price may change if the files sent are inadequate for the requested estimate/quote performed on the website. A new invoice may be submitted for the customer's approval.
The services' deadline may be extended as long as the customer agrees.
The cost of each service is shown on our website's "Services" page.
Special conditions may be offered if the manuscript (thesis, dissertation, book, etc.) is much larger than the standard service. For this occasion, the customer must contact via chat or e-mail: contact.baroediting@gmail.com.
Yes, we do offer loyalty discounts for customers. You can submit your quote document, and we will see what discounts are available.
We offer special conditions for Brazilian universities.
You can request a quote either through our website – in the "Services" or "Place your order" tabs, or by contacting us by e-mail contact.baroediting@gmail.com.
There are two ways to request a service: directly through the website or by making contact by e-mail:

You must select the services via our website, in the "Place an order" tab.
You will be directed to the "Sign-up" page, or if it is already registered, you must log in.
Then, you will be directed to the “Place an order" page, where you select the services and make a preliminary quote.
You receive an automatic e-mail.
You receive another e-mail informing if the submitted documents and information are sufficient and correct.
Once documents and necessary information are adequate, a quote is sent to your e-mail.
In case you accept the quote, an invoice is sent.
For clients from all over the world, Paypal is the accepted method. A link is sent by e-mail, by which you can reach the website payment page. For Brazilian clients, the following options are available: - Paypal or Pagseguro: a link is sent by e-mail, by which you can reach the website payment page. - Bank slip: a bank slip document is attached to an e-mail. - Bank transfers (TED) or Pix: our company banking details is sent by e-mail.
Once payment is received, a new e-mail is sent by Baro Editing notifying that the service is already being carried out.

It is important to emphasise that the deadlines will only begin when two requirements are met: payment confirmation and compliance with documents. Fulfilment of these requirements will be informed to the customer by e-mail.
We will work until your manuscript meets all of the journal's editorial requirements.
The guarantee only applies:
to the elements that make up the scope of our services, as indicated in these Terms of Service;
if your manuscript has not been substantially changed;
to those requirements previously identified by the journal reviewers;
for the term of one year after the first revision delivered by our team.
We will count the total number of words in your manuscript file, considering texts, headings, subheadings, captions, references, etc.
