SCIENTIFIC STRUCTURE AND FLOW

This part involves restructuring the manuscript to flow appropriately, as reviewers are used to, going through the structuring details inside each of the following parts: title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussions and conclusion.

The editors make suggestions on the elements' order, evaluating their cohesiveness, coherence, and comprehensiveness. Although it goes beyond it, verifications are motivated by the following questions:

Title evaluation: Is the title clear? Concise? Does it use the right keywords? Additional advanced suggestions are made.

Abstract evaluation: The abstract presents a context, scientific gap, purpose, methodology, results and conclusion clearly and concisely. Does it show the more relevant aspects?

Introduction evaluation: Does the text appropriately identifies the research area and its relevance? Does it get the reader used to the main technical words? Does it present a clear and valid scientific gap? Are the references enough to recognise the state-of-the-art? Is the paper's purpose adequately presented?
